Carlos is one of the kindest and most generous producers and humans we know, with an incredible love for his workers, an immense respect for his land, and an admiring drive to break into producing specialty coffee.
His farm, Patio Bonito, operates more like a family than a work place. The land is extremely biodiverse, with over 40 different types of fruits and vegetables planted. This is key to creating better soil, generating more diversified income, and growing healthier coffee. These days, Carlos is focused on improving the quality of his coffee. He was previously selling market grade coffee at market prices. With improvements, from better harvesting to more focused processing and new raised drying beds, Carlos Trujillo is able to harness the wealth of his land and distill it into extremely delicious coffee.
